Despite his busy schedule as an actor, the South Korean heartthrob hasn’t stopped touring around the world as the ambassador for multiple brands. innisfree is just one of the many brands he had been appointed global ambassador, assisting the brand in promoting its star products.
In celebration of the first Malaysian store in Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall, the brand decided to bring innisfree Festa 2015 featuring global brand ambassador, Lee Min Ho. The brand previously kicked off the annual innisfree Festa featuring the actor in Hong Kong back in 2013, followed by Taiwan and Singapore. Having played so many charming roles in insanely popular Korean drama series such as “Boys Over Flowers” and “The Heirs”, it came as no surprise to us that Min Ho has gained a huge following around the world.
During the event’s press conference, Ms. Koo Ae-Ran, the Marketing Director from innisfree HQ said “it was a timely decision” to bring the brand to Malaysia so that it can “fuel the demand for natural beauty products”. She added that this celebration is one of their ways to “introduce their Global Brand Ambassador, Lee Min Ho to his fans and local media”.
Designed to share the holistic experimental overview of the naturalist K-beauty trend, the innisfree Festa allowed members of media and distinguished guests to learn more about their brand’s Green Life Campaigns. At the eco-gardening zone, guests got their fans dirty (literally) during a simple planting session using recyclable innisfree bottles. Guests were also able to make their own fabric pouch with the decorative stamps provided at the innisfree Festa.
Of course, the most anticipated session of 2015 innisfree Festa was meeting Lee Min Ho, who appeared at the event to meet local media and his fans. His appearance at the event was welcomed by shy giggles and sighs of admiration as he stood tall in his suit and greeted the media with a simple “Apa Khabar” and a confident smile.
A short Q&A session was held during the course of event, where he answered some questions that were submitted by the media before the press conference. When asked about it feels to work on his upcoming film “Gangnam Blue”, he was amused and asked if he could talk about it at the innisfree event. He later revealed that it was tough shooting some scenes in the movie because he plays the lead role as a tough man.
He also revealed that if he could go away for a holiday, he would want to come to Malaysia as the weather in South Korea is really cold now. Members of the media responded to his statement with shy giggles, and he was once again amused by the media’s reaction and jokingly asked, “Oh, you understand Korean too?“.
Celebrity emcee Julie Woon picked one of the media’s question and asked him to choose what he thinks is his most attractive body part. He hesitated a little and later proudly said he is proudest of his height as he stands tall at 187cm. To officiate innisfree’s launch in Malaysia and commemorate innisfree Festa 2015, the actor watered a green tea plant with both global and local representatives, Ms. Koo Ae-Ran and Ms.Margaret Chin, as a symbolic gesture.
But that’s not all!
Right after the media event, Lee Min Ho met 110 fans at the afternoon session of innisfree Festa 2015, where fans were given the opportunities to get up close and personal with their beloved idol. The session was filled with fun interactive activities and one of the highlights goes to “Bingo Game”, where the fans could win innisfree’s green tea gift sets and exclusive photo moments with Lee Min Ho. Some fans immediately drowned in jealousy when 3 lucky fans got to deliver their personal messages to the actor.
The session ended with Lee Min Ho’s group photo session with the fans who attended the innisfree Festa 2015 through invites. It was indeed an afternoon well spent with innisfree and its global ambassador, Lee Min Ho.
