Fans of Lee Min Ho in Shanghai will soon be able to come face-to-face with a life-size wax figurine of the actor himself!

Lee Min Ho’s agency reported on August 24, “Lee Min Ho’s wax doll will be exhibited in Shanghai’s Madame Tussaud’s museum. Recently Madame Tussaud’s staff from the U.K. and China visited Korea to take Lee Min Ho’s measurements and to discuss Lee Min Ho’s concept, pose and design.”

Madame Tussaud’s is a famous museum that’s found in a total of 13 major cities including London, New York, Hong Kong, Hollywood and more featuring the life-like wax figurines of various famous individuals.

Some of the most famous individuals to be made into a wax figurine for the museum include Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, Audrey Hepburn, Michael Jackson, David Beckham and more.

A representative for Madame Tussaud’s said, “Before we create our wax replicas, we conduct extensive research and surveys. We only select individuals who not only demonstrate potential in their activities but individuals who receive a lot of love, interest and respect from the locals. Lee Min Ho is not only an actor with top popularity but has shown he has the makings of the next generation hallyu star.”

The representative also added on Lee Min Ho’s selection saying, “It’s largely due to the ‘Lee Min Ho fever’ that’s blowing in China. We had countless requests from fans all over the world to create a Lee Min Ho figurine and taking over 6 months to produce, we decided to select Shanghai as the city we would exhibit the replica.”

For his replica’s creation, Lee Min Ho had to pose smiling for over three hours, which proved a bit painful, as he joked, “I may be smiling but I’m not laughing”, while the figurine’s producers joked, “Since Lee Min Ho is so tall, the cost for the figurine is going to be high.”
