"Omniscient Reader" Surpasses 1 Million Moviegoers
“Omniscient Reader” has surpassed 1 million moviegoers!
According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing network, the film officially surpassed 1 million moviegoers on August 5 at 7:26 p.m. KST.
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Omniscient Reader” is a film that tells the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), who suddenly finds himself living in the world of a fantasy novel he was reading. Armed with the knowledge of what happened in the novel, Kim Dok Ja sets out to save the world from ending. Lee Min Ho stars as Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist from the novel that Kim Dok Ja read.
To commemorate the milestone, cast members Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Min Ho, Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, and Nana posed for a celebratory group photo.

“Omniscient Reader” Cast Showcases Dedication On Set In New Behind-The-Scenes Photos
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Omniscient Reader” is a film that tells the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), who suddenly finds himself living in the world of a fantasy novel he was reading. Armed with the knowledge of what happened in the novel, Kim Dok Ja sets out to save the world from ending. Lee Min Ho stars as Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist from the novel that Kim Dok Ja read.
In newly released behind-the-scenes stills, Ahn Hyo Seop is fully immersed in his role as Kim Dok Ja, moving between reality and fantasy realms, including the subway and the belly of an Ichthyosaur (sea creature). Even as the novel’s world unfolds before him, his piercing gaze stands out, and his fully committed expressions vividly show his dedication to the character.
Lee Min Ho draws attention with an expression showing his deep connection to Yoo Joong Hyuk, a character burdened by loneliness after enduring repeated regressions and the deaths of his companions. Lee Min Ho reveals the character’s complex emotions even in the middle of a life-or-death battle, portraying his multi-layered nature in a vivid way.
