Ultra Luxurious Casts for "Omniscient Reader's Point of View" includes Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seop, Blackpink Jisoo
According to the media announcement on the 24th of November 2023, Ahn Hy Seop, Lee Min Ho, Blackpink's Jisoo and Nana, Chae So Bin, Jeong Seong Il, and Park Ho San have decided to do the movie 'Omniscient Reader's Point of View' and currently are coordinating the details.
‘Omniscient Reader’s Point of View’, is based on the web novel of the same name, it depicts what happens one day when the main character, Kim Do Ja, tries to save the world in a world that has changed according to the contents of the novel he was reading. The web novels has been serialized on MunPia since February 2018. It has accumulated over 26 million views online and are said to have changed the trend in the Korean web novel market. The serialized webtoon of the same name has also been enjoying great popularity.
The movie ‘Omniscient Reader’s Perspective’ is based on a webtoon and would be produced by Realize Pictures, the production company behind ‘Along with the Gods’, "Ssangcheon Myth", and will be directed by ‘The Terror Live’ director Kim Byeong Woo.
Ahn Hyo Seop will play the role of Kim Dok Ja who fights to turn the world back together with his colleagues, including the novel's main character Yoo Jung Hyuk, in a world that has changed according to the novel he read in the 'Omniscient Reader's Point of View'. This is the first time that Ahn Hyo Seop will appear in a movie.
Lee Min Ho takes on the role of Yoo Jung Hyuk, the protagonist of the novel ‘Three Ways to Survive in a Destroyed World’, which is the basis for the changed world in the play. Yoo Jung Hyuk is a character who possesses tremendous power and a sense of responsibility to save the world thanks to his ability to constantly return/regress even after death, but he has a cold personality due to endlessly repeating his life.
